A Time Library

2010
Installation with Books and Furniture, Online Audio Visual Recordings

Produced as part of Slow, a collaborative studio residency project, the installation is a curated selection of books focusing on temporal experience. Recording sessions with the participants and audience members involved a series of readings using a digital pen that recorded both the voice of the participant and the visual notes and drawings made during the reading. The online recordings allow the viewer to explore a slowed down experience of digital media through listening in to the readings.

Slow involved a group of artists and curators: Elspeth Pratt, Jin Me Yoon, Elizabeth MacKenzie, Candice Hopkins, Liz Park, Makiko Hara, Marian Penner Bancroft and provided a number of opportunities for community participation including a series of open studios and open space discussions.
