Dictation uses a photograph documenting Andre Breton and Surrealist colleagues demonstrating an experiment in automatic writing. At the centre of the image, Simone Breton types. Two transparent copies of the photograph are fixed to sheets of plexiglas, and mounted on a painted aluminum tripod.
